How to resubmit an assignment

Format for resubmission request

In a document, put the name of the assignment you want to resubmit and “resubmission request” in the title (e.g. “Homework 2 resubmission request”).

For each component that you want to redo for the possibility of getting full marks, you will need to articulate (in 1-2 sentences):

1. what you got wrong
2. what you need to do to fix it
3. why that fix would improve the quality of your work (independently of the grade you received)

For example, if you got “partial marks” for multiple plots where you had overlapping axis labels, a reasonable request would be:

1. My x-axis labels for Problem 2a, 3b, and 5c were overlapping.
2. For 2a, I need to either spread out the x-axis or fix the way I read in the data to make sure the columns are correct (so that the date column is read in as a date rather than a character). For 3b and 5c, I need to create a line break in the axis label.
3. Making sure the x-axis labels don’t overlap improves the figure because the text would be readable.

Things to keep in mind

Note that An will regrade your whole assignment. There is no guarantee of getting a “complete” mark on an assignment.
